Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
Jesus loved children and so do we. We believe they have an important part in God’s plan right this very minute and are dedicated to partnering with parents and care givers to teach them God’s purpose through scripture, community and practice.
In our children’s ministry we encourage you to let your little ones join with other children to build a strong relationship with God and grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Research shows that strong church relationships are essential if a child is going to remain faithful after reaching adulthood. The time to start is now!
Bible classes are offered for children of all ages, infants through 6th grade on Sundays and Wednesdays.
We have carefully designed Bible studies and experiences for every age. Our hands-on curriculum helps children discover, understand, and apply God's Word. Take a look below to find the desired age group to see what to expect while at Meadowbrook.
Meadowbrook's Nursery offers classes for newborns through two years on both Sunday morning and Wednesday night. Our goal is to partner with you to teach your child three basic truths:
1. God created you.
2. God loves you.
3. Jesus wants to be your friend forever.
Following Bible class on Sunday morning, Meadowbrook volunteers staff the nursery (in the same room as your child's Bible class) so that parents have the option to participate in our worship gathering while their precious ones are enjoying lots of love and attention. Parents will recieve a beeper to carry with them so that they can be alerted, if necessary.
All volunteers that work with our children undergo a background check and screening process so you can focus on your own spiritual formation knowing that your child is being cared for in a safe and healthy environment.
We also have a comfortable, private nursing room for your convenience located in room 108 in the Education Building.
At Meadowbrook, we know how important it is for kids to grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. That's why our KFC age kids (3 years old - 2nd grade) are taught about God's purpose for their lives through scripture, community and practice. KFC kids will learn:
1. To make the wise choice
2. To trust God, no matter what
3. To treat others the way they want to be treated.
Classes are offered at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
At 10:30 on Sundays, the KFC group joins together for an age appropriate worship time that teaches children about Jesus through Bible stories, skits, crafts, worship, and fun! All children ages 3 yrs - 2nd grade are invited to join us!
Parents may pick up their kids following our worship gathering in their kid's respective classrooms.
In addition to our regularly scheduled class and worship times, KFC kids also have the opportunity throughout the year to learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus by participating in hands-on service projects that benefit both the members of the Meadowbrook family, as well as our community.
JAM kids (3rd - 6th grades) are a special group at Meadowbrook. In between being a "little kid" and being a full-on teenager, this group has a wonderful spirit and passion for serving God.
Through hands and feet service projects, fellowship and devotion times, and just having fun together, friendships are forged that help prepare kids for adolesence.
Classes are offered at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. JAM kids joining in with the youth group and adults in our Sunday morning worship gathering.
