Throughout All Generations
We’re living in a time in American culture and society in which people are lamenting a loss of kindness, mutual respect, and love across differences. We are also living in a time in America in which the church is facing a brand-new challenge: five generations living, working, and serving God together. That means we’re simultaneously having to experience more changes and differences within our lifetimes AND – as a society at large – we’re getting worse at dealing with our differences. What’s the church to do!?
Although our challenges are unique and will require creativity, compassion, and faith as we respond to them, God’s vision remains the same: that the church will be a big, multi-generational family committed to receiving and sharing the love and kindness of God with each other and the world. This series will give us an opportunity to explore the scope of God’s vision for a big, multi-generational family across scripture and create space for us to consider how we – as a big multi-generational church family – can live into this vision.
