PARTNERS
Meadowbrook is partnering with the Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team (DRT) located in Tipp City, Ohio, that we have worked with before. DRT is already set up at the Enterprise Blvd Church of Christ in Lake Charles, LA. The Briarwood Church of Christ in Natchez plans to join us as well in providing financial support, specific items, and maybe volunteers. The Enterprise Boulevard church has arranged for proper social distancing and will have masks available for our use if we do not bring our own.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
It was announced Sunday morning that Meadowbrook will be receiving donations for the month of September to assist with disaster relief in Lake Charles, LA. You can donate by clicking on the “GIVE” link on Meadowbrook's website, click on Meadowbrook Connect, then the “GIVE NOW” button. Make sure to indicate “Disaster Relief” in the dropdown menu under the “Giving Type.”
You may also mail a check to Meadowbrook Church, 4261 I-55 North, Jackson, MS 39206 and indicate in the memo line “Disaster Relief.”
Donations will be sent to Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team in Ohio for distribution as needed.

If you would prefer to donate items needed by the Enterprise church, we will be focusing on providing Heavy Duty Trash Bags and Box Fans. Please order via Amazon and have shipped directly to the Enterprise Boulevard Church of Christ, ATT: Disaster Response Team, 2801 Enterprise Blvd., Lake Charles, LA 70601. The phone number for Enterprise church, 337-439-9761, is required by Amazon.
VOLUNTEER GROUPS
The Meadowbrook Disaster Relief Team will be developing a couple of dates for teams to work in Lake Charles, LA. Lake Charles is 4 ½ hours, so a Thursday through Sunday or a Friday through Sunday trip will be doable. Skilled labor is always needed but anyone can help. We can promise you that if you go, you will be put to work! Here are some tasks that are currently needed. If you would like to volunteer on a work trip or would be willing to be a team leader, please indicate your interest, not commitment, on this form.
There is a job for everyone: cleaning up properties, chainsaw work, tarping roofs, distributing supplies to families, cooking in the DRT mobile kitchen, working in the laundry trailer, data entry....
