These are indeed unusual times for our church, our nation, and our world as we deal with COVID-19 and the social distancing required right now. Let us remember the words of Psalm 46, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride...The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold." Isaiah 41 also comforts us, "Do not fear, for I am with you, Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
