Crossover Ministry

The Crossover Ministry Program intends to help those individuals who are eligible by offering them short-term rent free housing, financial support and counseling, and other personal assistance during a transition period and afterwards. The goal is for them to regain their self-confidence, find employment, and be able to provide for themselves and their families again.

The Crossover Ministries was begun in 2006 by some Meadowbrook members to help those who were homeless and who wanted to become self- sufficient, but had no means to enable them to become independent. Meadowbrook owned some houses on Druid Hill Drive, right across the street from our church building. With the availability of these empty houses, it was decided to try and offer these homes rent free to qualified candidates. Over the years, several candidates were admitted into this program and lived in these homes.

In 2014 Meadowbrook partnered with Galloway United Methodist Church, and developed Crossover II. By partnering with Galloway, both churches are able to recommend necessary candidates and provide encouragement and financial support as needed.
